This weekend the band announced finalists Rototom Latino Reggae Contest, which on March 31 and April 1 will seek a place the prestigious European festival Sunsplash Rototom , to be held in August in Benicassim, Spain. Finally
were 11 groups, which include a representative from Cordoba (Tremble Delirio Orquesta de Río Cuarto) and 5 DJ / Soundsystem the qualifiers for the finals (at first they were 10 and 4), to be held the days listed in Groove (Santa Fe 4389, Buenos Aires). Those elected were defined among the most points won by a vote of the judges in each of the semifinals were played in four different places.
One of the instances, Dennis Brown for the area north of the country, was held on the first day of Charles Peace & Love and qualifiers were: Kameleba (San Luis), Tremble Delirio Orchestra (Rio Cuarto, Córdoba ) Butumbaba (Santa Fe) and Perfect Mom (San Juan), in that order. The other two local credits (Too Scrambled and Dale Roska), were not so lucky.
The other finalists: Blazingone, Livity Songs, Smoking Flamingo, Rondamón, Zion Bless (all by the Buenos Aires area), Green Reggae (south region) and Congo (zone Uruguay). For its part, the 5 DJ / MC selected were: Miss Bolivia, No Name Dub, King Coppery, Leao Mango and DJ Nelson. Tremble
Delirio Orchestra was formed in Rio Cuarto in prin-ci-ples of 2006 and has an album released last year, Tales and Stories, which highlights a version of Halleluja (Mother) of Leon Gieco, the that sticks War / No More Trouble Bob Marley (see video in the player). The current lineup includes a combo of San-tia-go-lich Ivu (voice and gui-ta-war) Jo­sé Luis Ivu­lich (trom­bón), San­cho Ote­ro (trom­pe­ta y voz), Se­bas­tián “Cha­trán” Maz­zo­ni (ba­te­ría), Ma­tías Gó­mez (sa­xo), Ale­jan­dro Se­rra (ba­jo), Fe­de­ri­co Muz­zo­lon (gui­ta­rra) y Ali­cia Mo­li­na (co­ros) e Iris Ro­drí­guez Mar-co (co-ros). Cordovan Group will seek to make ends meet the feat of winning the competition (the final tickets are available in Ticketek), which is measured as more experienced bands Kameleba, Congo, Green, Reggae and the ascending Blazingone. Just these four were the most score obtained in the semifinals and thus gained also a place on the grid of Reggae Sum, a two-day festival will headline the legendary Bunny Wailer .
